The Jabra freeway is in no way a new product. It has been out for several years now and even has a few awards under its belt – such as the red dot design award winner of 2011 and the CES Innovation award 2012 as well as several other editor’s choice awards over the years.
The Freeway is a car speaker phone designed to clip over your sun visa or sit on the dash of your car.
It provides noise free calls as well as the ability to stream music from your phone. The addition of a FM transmitter means that if you do prefer your cars sound system but don’t have Bluetooth in the car you can stream the sound through a FM channel in your cars radio.
The freeway is fitted with a motion control sensor so it will detect when you are in the car and turn itself on and off to save on battery life – Not that it really needs to – with a 14 hour talk time and 40 days of standby time the battery life on the freeway is ideal even on long trips.
The Freeway is designed to pair with up to 2 devices at a time (but will remember up to 8) so if you are travelling with a colleague or partner you can both pair your phone to the device for easy answering, and with built in voice commands answering your phone has never been easier. Simply say accept, reject, end or redial and the freeway will do as you say. If the number calling is a saved number in your phone it will even announce who is calling you.
What’s also great about these is if you are using your phone as a gps the speaker phone will call out the turn by turn directions from your phone. Just one of the Freeway’s many great features.
If you spend a lot of time in your car and don’t want to or don’t like wearing a headset then I think the Freeway speakerphone is a great investment!
