The Jabra Go 6470 wireless headset (with Bluetooth) was the first model that gave the user the ability to use a headset with all 3 common devices in the office (desk phone, computer, and mobile phone) as well as giving the user the ability to take the device on the road and continue to use their headset with computer and mobile while away from the office.
The Jabra Go 6470 wireless comes with the stylish touch screen base that we love from Jabra .This helps to make toggling between devices really easy and give the user the option of a guided setup if they are new to the headset world as opposed to the manual setup that you have to go through with most wireless devices. When using with a desk phone the Jabra Go 6470 wireless headset can be used in conjunction with the GN1000 handset lifter or EHS cable depending on the phone (if you need help deciding give our office a call and we can confirm compatibility for you). This means that you are able to answer calls when away from your desk – up to 100m for this particular model.
The headset itself has 2 different wearing styles giving the wearer the option of an over the head or ear hook. The Jabra GO 6470 uses the Jabra Dual microphone (noise blockout) to ensure that even when on the road the person you are talking to is hearing you crystal clear rather that what is happening around you.
Like most headsets in the Jabra 6400 and 9400 series the headset can be connected to computer via USB (via the base unit or with the supplied dongle) and comes with a Jabra PC suite allowing you customise the use of your headset and to get and firmware updates as they become available. This is also a useful part of troubleshooting should you ever need it as you can restore the headset to factory settings should something go wrong.
The Jabra Go 6470 comes with a 6 hours talk time, 100 hours of standby and compared to some wireless headsets a very short 50 minutes of charge for a full battery.
Because the Go 6470 can also be taken on the road (as the name GO implies) when you get your box you will also have a travel charger which conveniently doubles as the usb holder for your headset and the cables required to charge it. You can also purchase travel kits and car chargers if you require them.
Unfortunately this headset is being discontinued, we still have them available at the moment and it is not because they are a bad headset by any means. Jabra are simply making updates to this Bluetooth/ wireless headset as they continue to improve on what is already a fantastic model. So stay tuned!
