The Jabra pro 9450 wireless headsets comes with 3 different varients. The 9450, the 9450 flex and the 9450 Duo.
The main difference between the 3 is; the 9450 comes with a shorter microphone boom for those looking for something more discreet. The 9450 Flex come with a longer semi flexible microphone boom (that sits the recommended 2 finger spaces from the mouth for ideal sound) and the 9450 duo has the longer microphone boom as well as the dual aka binaural wearing style.
For the 9450 and 9450 flex there are multiple wearing styles available. The headset comes in the box with the headband and the ear hook however users also have the added option of the neckband accessory.
The Pro 9450 is designed to work with desk phones and computers and you can easily toggle between the two using the buttons on the base docking station.
Like most wireless headsets these days the 9450 range comes with the conference feature meaning you can conference up to 4 headsets in on one call – Perfect for training situations or conference calls. This will only work with like headsets but if you do have other models in the office you can still get the buddy adaptors to connect them together.
The Jabra Pro 9450 wireless headsets are compatible with 99% of all phones and if you would like the ability to answer calls away from the phone they have a range of EHS cables to suit most phones. For phones where EHSs are not available they have the GN1000 handset lifter which attaches to the side of your phone to lift your handset so you don’t have to.
If you are working in a busy environment and are sick of pointing at your headset to signal that you are on a phone every time someone tries to talk to you Jabra have come up with a solution! The Jabra busy light (this will also connect to other models from the 9400 series). The light connects to the headset and can be put in a visible place like on your desk or on top of your computer, and then when you are on a call lights up to indicate to others that you are on a call.
Like all Jabra headsets the range on the 9450’s is superb! All 9450’s come with a 150m range to help give you that extra room to move around the office. Do bear in mind that that range is in an open space with no other electrical equipment or walls. We have found though that Jabra’s seem to do best out of all the brands as dealing with walls. They also use Jabra’s superior noise blockout technology so even when on the busiest of days your headset will only pick up on your voice rather than everyone else’s – this helps to ensure the person on the other end of your call hears you only.
For those looking for a step up from the 920 headset and looking to future proof their headset for their office work the 9450 is the way to go. Computer and deskphone use all in one!
